Tuesday this week, at the Greenbrow Road branch, was the scene for a number of activities celebrating International Womens Day – a day to celebrate and promote the achievements of women worldwide.
To get into the international feel there was ‘henna’ tattooing – decorating the hands and arms of our visitors with some intricate (and some not-so-intricate!) designs. We had some fantastic Lebanese snacks brought in by one of our regular customers and make-up and nail decorations had people queuing up all day for a go!
There was plenty more activities besides and the day went down very well with the people visiting throughout the day. “It was fantastic!” commented Jayne Hargrave, the Health and Wellbeing coordinator responsible for setting up the event. “People really got into the spirit of things”.
