As advised by Public Health England, all members of the public are expected to act sensibly and responsibly if they have one or more of the following symptoms:

  • A new persistent cough
  • Fever of 37.8 degrees or above
  • Difficulty breathing

You must self-isolate immediately. Only call 111 if the symptoms get worse.

In addition to the above, anyone with underlying health conditions or over 65 years of age should also self-isolate as a precautionary measure.

Please look after yourselves and your loved ones and be kind to one another, especially during these difficult times.

As always, we endeavour to do our very best to support you for as long as we are able to do so safely.

You remain firmly in our thoughts and prayers

From all at Tree of Life Centre Wythenshawe.

“To work in partnership with others to create a sustainable resource which improves the health and well being for people in Wythenshawe and increases their ability to participate in the wider community”

The Tree of Life Centre is an organisation which operates in the Wythenshawe area of South Manchester.  We provide many valuable services to the local community, from health and wellbeing sessions, advice and friendship groups to providing an opportunity for local people to get involved, train for qualifications and get valuable experience by volunteering with us. But the Tree of Life Centre is probably best known for its furniture re-use shop, which is renowned in the Wythenshawe area for the good quality stock and low, affordable prices, giving people on pensions, benefits and low incomes the possibility of being able to buy the things they need that they couldn’t otherwise afford, whilst encouraging re-use, recycling and the reduction of good quality items that end up in landfill.

Also famous in Wythenshawe is our community café which, true to our ethos, provides a good meal and a hot drink, along with a warm, welcoming atmosphere from £2.95. It’s a great place people to get out and make friends, take family or just get out of the house and eat out, at an affordable cost that makes it a great option for those on low and supported incomes. We welcome people from the whole spectrum of the local community regardless of age, race, disability or background and actively promote inclusion and participation in our community.

We also have a computer room which is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm and you can drop in any time in those hours. Here you are welcome to come in and use our computers for a variety of tasks such as:

  • Online Jobsearching
  • Filling out online application forms
  • Checking emails
  • Printing documents

If you’re new to computers then don’t worry! Computer lessons are also available. We can get you taking those first steps to become computer literate and also help you setup your very own email address.

On this website you can donate items or cash, find our contact details & location, keep up to date with our events and activities, have a look at what has been said and written about us, connect with us through social media and plenty more.

Why not take a look at the ways you can get involved?
